The house has four distinct volumes of simple gable forms that encase a guest room, family room, gym, living room, dining room, kitchen, garage, bunkroom, studios and a master suite.
The entry and stair sits behind a grid of Alaskan yellow cedar and glass while the various volumes are clad in cedar shingles or plank. All spaces and rooms have water views except the bunkroom. The owners, two doctors, one with a passion for music and one for painting, each have their own studios.
The terrace, porch and pool share the expansive water view. The surrounding property (by LaGuardia Design Group, Landscape Architecture) is softened by meadow grasses that blend into the large, adjacent meadow.
