With sweeping views to Fisher’s Island Sound and the Atlantic, this iconic shingle style house, named “The Dormers,” sits on the highest promontory in Watch Hill. Built in 1907 with many fine classic details the house was in need of restoration and renovation. The 6,500 square foot house is now structurally sound and energy efficient with updated spaces – new screened porch, kitchen, family room, breakfast room and pool house – that complement its period roots. What was particularly challenging was the 3-acre hilltop site itself and the terracing required to create usable level spaces. The new design seamlessly integrates the house and accessory buildings to this breathtaking site.
